The 2015 meeting should be fun. Most second year students are attending, and we have two presentations (Tuesday and Thursday, see below). Please make sure to leave open Wednesday night for the traditional University of Idaho dinner for students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the HF program at the UI.
In ten days I will present a short overview of gesture interfaces in the car at a pre-conference workshop at AutoUI'14 in Seattle. The title is "The Steering Wheel as a Touch Interface: Using Thumb-based Gesture Interfaces as Control Inputs while Driving." It is largely based on a project a number of graduate students and I worked on in my UX grad seminar in Spring and early Fall 2013. Thanks to Zach, Tom, Jordan, Krutika, Nicole, and Connor for their help, and Ryan for the inspiration.
